On Wednesday, February 19, 2025, Teresa Vicente Giménez (Associate Professor and Director of the Chair of Human Rights and Rights of Nature at the University of Murcia), Itziar Gómez (Associate Professor at UC3M and Lawyer of the Spanish Constitutional Court), and Guillermo García Panasco (Prosecutor and Lawyer of the Spanish Constitutional Court), will participate in the LXXIX session of the Permanent Seminar Jesús González Amuchastegui on the topic 'The Mar Menor as a Subject of Rights: A Dialogue around the Judgment of the Spanish Constitutional Court 142/2024, of November 20, 2024'.
The event aims to be a space for dialogue on the first law and ruling in Spain recognizing rights for nature, with the participation of some of the key actors behind this achievement.
The session will be moderated by: Digno José Montalván Zambrano (UC3M).
The activity will start at 4:30pm (Madrid time) and will take place in person in Room 1.A.01 at the Puerta de Toledo Campus - UC3M.

The Permanent Seminar Jesús G. Amuchastegui—which replaced the previous name Permanent Seminar Law and Justice (SPDJ) as a small act of recognition to the mentioned member of the group who passed away in 2008—aims to be an active space for the evaluation, promotion, and dissemination of research in the field of Philosophy of Law and Political Philosophy in Spain, fostering debate with internationally recognized academics about their ongoing research and latest publications.
