One of the most relevant characteristics that defines legal and political philosophy in recent years is its recognition of the cultural question as a matter of course. The arrival of this culturalist moment in political and legal philosophy has shared the spotlight with another concept that, since the fall of the Berlin Wall, has emerged as a central topos in specialized literature: civil society. However, an important fact to highlight is that the convergence of both themes, identity and civil society, is far from complete.
