On Friday, May 21, 2021, Felipe González (Special Rapporteur of the UN Human Rights Council) will participate in the 74th session of the TDJ with the presentation: "Right to health of migrants and non-refoulement"

The session aims to discuss some jurisprudential contributions related to the right to health care of migrants and the protection that this right provides against the return.

Felipe González Morales was appointed United Nations Special Rapporteur on migrant human rights  by the Human Rights Council in June 2017.

Mr. González is a professor of International Law at the Diego Portales University, in Santiago de Chile, where he also directs the Master's Degree in International Human Rights Law. Between 2008 and 2015 he served as Commissioner and Rapporteur on Migrants of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, of which he was president between 2010 and 2011.

He is a professor of International Human Rights Law in various postgraduate programs at Carlos III University of Madrid since 2003, as well as at other universities in Spain. Since 2001, he has been a professor at the American University Academy of Human Rights in Washington, D.C. He is the founder and first director of the Diego Portales University Human Rights Center. He is also the founder and first director of the Latin American Network of Human Rights Legal Clinics.
