Exclusivity and exhaustiveness of the law

On Thursday, May 28, 2020, Professor Pablo E. Navarro (CONICET, Argentina) will present his paper Exclusivity and exhaustiveness of the law, for further discussion with the attendees.

Pablo E. Navarro holds a PhD in Law and Social Sciences (National University of Córdoba, Argentina, 1989). He is a Senior Researcher at CONICET, Argentina. He has been a professor at the Argentine universities Nacional del Sur and Blas Pascal, as well as at the universities Pompeu Fabra, Autónoma de Barcelona, ITAM, Genoa and Girona. He was the founder and first Director of the thematic journal of Philosophy of Law Discusiones. He has been a John Simon Guggenheim Fellow and winner of the Bernard Houssay Award. He has published more than a hundred articles on Philosophy of Law, Ethics and Deontic Logic in different prestigious international journals. His monographs include: La eficacia del Derecho (CEPC, 1990); Deontic logic and legal systems (CUP, 2004; with Jorge L. Rodríguez); Kelsen y la eficacia del Derecho (Fontamara, 2016); and Dinámica y eficacia del Derecho (Fontamara, 2017).


About the SPA Seminar

The Jesús G. Amuchastegui Seminar - a name that has replaced the previous Permanent Seminary Law and Justice as a small act of recognition of the aforementioned member of the Group who died in 2008 - aims to be an active space for evaluation, promotion and dissemination of research in the area of Philosophy of Law and Political Philosophy in Spain, articulating the debate with academics of international projection about their ongoing researchs and latest publications.
