LXXVIII SPA: Earth Jurisprudence, Ecological Integrity, Ecology of Law: Can Ecology turn into Law and Politics?

On Thursday, November 14, Giulia Sajeva (Università degli Studi di Palermo) will participate in the LXXVIII session of the Jesús González Amuchastegui Permanent Seminar with the presentation 'Earth Jurisprudence, Ecological Integrity, Ecology of Law: Can Ecology turn into Law and Politics?'. 

Commentators in this session will include: Digno José Montalván Zambrano (UC3M) and Pablo Serra-Palao (Comillas).

Giulia Sajeva Researcher in Political Philosophy at the Department of Cultures and Society of the Università degli Studi di Palermo. Her background builds primarily on political philosophy and legal theory, focusing on human rights and environmental conservation. She was previously a Marie Skłodowska Curie Individual Fellow at the Strathclyde Centre for Environmental Law and Governance and holds a PhD in human rights from the Law Department of the Università degli Studi di Palermo, where she worked on the rights of Indigenous peoples and local communities, as well as on the rights of nature.

About the SPA Seminar

The Jesús G. Amuchastegui Permanent Seminar – a name that replaced the previous Permanent Seminar on Law and Justice (SPDJ) as a small tribute to the aforementioned member of the Group who passed away in 2008 – aims to be an active space for the evaluation, promotion, and dissemination of research in the area of Philosophy of Law and Political Philosophy in Spain, facilitating debate with internationally recognized academics about their ongoing research and latest publications.
