Voices in the Development of a Culture of Legality
Hour: 09:30
Venue: University Carlos III of Madrid. Faculty of Law and Social Sciences.
he V WCL is conceived as a meeting between a selection of researchers from different backgrounds and disciplinary affiliations that make up the Culture of Legality Program. Among the participants are iusphilosophers, iuspenalists, political scientists and political philosophers, iuspublicists and legal sociologists, which proves an interdisciplinary approach.
Studies on the Culture of Legality address as a central theme of their analyses the procedures, conditions and controls related to political decision-making, paying special attention to the conditions of transparency in its adoption, as well as the responsibility derived from it. A particularly complex and far-reaching area of decision-making concerns the attribution to the State of the power to dispose of the lives of innocent people in extreme circumstances such as mass kidnappings and kamikazes or indiscriminate threats of this nature.
