92º TDJ: «Los usos de la literatura en la esfera pública y el derecho: la propuesta de Martha Nussbaum»

On Wednesday, March 13, 2024, Jimena Sáenz (University of Buenos Aires) will participate in the 92nd session of the TDJ workshop to present the paper: "The Uses of Literature in the Public Sphere and Law: Martha Nussbaum's Proposal".

Jimena Sáenz is a Lawyer and Professor of Letters graduated from the National University of La Plata (UNLP), with postgraduate degrees in Constitutional Law and Human Rights (University of Palermo, UP) and in Human Rights and Gender (University of Chile). She earned her Doctorate in Law from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) and was a Postdoc Research Fellow at the Schell Center for International Human Rights at Yale University (2020). She is currently a Researcher at CONICET-Argentina and a visiting researcher in the area of Philosophy of Law at UAM, and a professor of Philosophy of Law (UBA) and Constitutional Law (UNLP). She is the author of the books Las audiencias públicas de la Corte Suprema. Aperturas y límites de la participación ciudadana en la justicia (Siglo XXI, Buenos Aires- co-authored with Miguel A. Benedetti) and Las relaciones entre el derecho y la literatura. Una lectura del proyecto de Martha Nussbaum (Marcial Pons, Barcelona); and various works in the area of constitutional justice and interdisciplinary studies.
